History
Personal History | All anyone really knows is that Melody appeared literally on the door step of the Hathorns school for girls on Betazed. She was taken at first to the local orphanage where she was passed around from medical lab to medical lab until she was around five years old. As a result she actually came to love doctors and scientists. They catered to gher curiosity and helped her to develop a life long love of learning and helping others. She never knew she was a test subject or she might have felt diffrently. After she was old enough it was decided that Melody (as they dubbed her due to her desire to sing and her talent for picking up tunes and melodies when being tested on) was to retun to the school she had been left at. A guardian was appointed to look over her just incase the ones who left her there came back to get her again. They had been unsuccesful in identifying her paternal DNA. They knew only that she was harmless and could be potencelly useful to them in the future. At a very young age Melody showed signs of being highly intelligent. She had an uncanny knack of multitasking. She also had a strong empathy towards others. Accompanied by a desire to try and help wherever she could. Even if that meant she herself went without. The smile and genuine joy of others was reward enough to get her through the tough times. She didn't know it but she was predestined to go the fast track through Starfleet academy. At 13 she passed the entrance exams and did so every year after until she was 18. She found it fun and a excellent challenge to try and top her scores from the previous years. |
