“Computer, please begin recording personal log.” Timothy “Clay” Nelson stated to the computer.
The computer chimed to signal it was beginning to record.
“I was just placed in charge of all of engineering. I am not sure that Chief Dodd was right to make me the one in charge while both he and Taggert are off ship. He likely no sooner got off ship and now we are detecting Jem’Hadar approaching. We are now in silent running mode. I have sent Ensign Tollar to the bridge to work from the bridge station and to help relay any requests from the captain.
Pril and Machado are overseeing the cloaking device and I have full faith in them. Pril is merely assisting to allow Machado to step away once in a while. Jaxson, Spoak, Nable and Johnson are all doing great jobs for being the newest of the engineering staff. Tjaansz is a great source to keep me in check. I thought that Dodd should have placed her in charge over me, but I will do my best.
I can’t wait until we get home, I will put in for a week of R and R and see if Pril can’t join me. We will go to Risa or better yet a remote planet that has few inhabitants so we can enjoy some natural hiking and each other’s company in a natural setting without many interruptions.
Well, I had better get back to work. Computer end recording.”
The computer chimed to signal it was done recording.
Nelson stood up from the chief’s desk and headed to the pool table to resume his task at hand.
