A letter to my sister......

Dear Danielle,

I know it has been a long time since I last talked to you in any manner.

Life on the Tomcat has been amazing and full of action.
You know I am the chief engineer and recently I was decorated with the White Cord by my captain. Also just recently my captain was promoted to Fleet Captain, so that is exciting.

I was on a mission where I was in charge of an away team and I thought I was lost on that mission. I can't really go into many specific details due to classified data, but I can tell you that I felt very out of time and lost without much hope at first. Then I came back to the ship with all my people and we are all doing well. Once back to myself, I realized I needed to live my life to the fullest.

I have been involved with a great woman named Iria. She is the ship's counselor. She helped me gain much better control of my telepathic abilities as well as helped me come to terms with the last mission. I have never felt so comfortable with anyone since my last relationship. Iria has make me realize that I am a man in every sense there is. I have proposed to her and she said yes. We are not in a rush to get married but I would hope to have her meet you and your family back on Earth soon. Maybe after this mission is over, we can get some time to visit her family and you.

I hope all is well on Earth. I do think of you often and I am sorry I have not been the best of big brothers. You are all I have left for family and now that I am going to be getting married, I want her to know you as well and one day think of you as family. I know I was not there for you all these years but I do hope to make up for that in the future.

Well, I am needed back in engineering and so I will get his letter transmitted to you and I hope to hear from you when it is possible.
