General Sim Postings
Location: Intelligence office
Timeline: TBD
Sonar walked in to the intelligence office with a stack of padds and lay them out on the table in the middle. "So this is most of the data the colonel got from that alternate universe outpost. You know to keep it simple." He smirked sarcastically. "We...have to decode them and order them." There was a little dramatic tone in his voice as he said that last bit.
He looked over to his colleague in the room. Ensign Autumn Cole. "Ensign Sonar xi'Indrai."He introduced himself. "You are Ensign Autumn Cole. I suspect this should not be as hard for you, being an Encryption specialist. So coffee?" He offered.
"Coffee sounds good." Autumn's eyes lit up at the job assignement. "Oh a puzzle I am looking forward to working on that. Wait, this is from another universe? This intrigues me even more." she paused then she stood up, "Hello there Ensign xi'Indrai nice to meet you." Holding out a hand to shake his.
Sonar put the padds and data sticks on the table and shook the other Ensign's hand. "it is nice to meet you to. Now for your coffee. Do you have anything in it, or do you like it as dark as space?" He moved towards to the replicator as he waited for her order.
"Depending on my mood when I drink it like today, it will be the color of space out there with a little bit of sweetness added to it." Autumn replied. Standing up Autumn took a little bit of a stretch to wake herself up a little bit more. "How do you take your coffee?"
"Well, to be honest, I like it black, sweet and with a lot of ice. But you know I am an Andorian, I am cold blooded so that shouldn't come as a surprise," He said jokingly, as he gave the order to the replicator and then returned with the beverages.
Autumn gave a warm chuckle at his quip, "Well I do know that Andorian's run hotter than a human, when it comes to their normal body temperature." accepting the coffee from Sonar. She took a sip and gave a out a sigh. "This is perfect."
"Well that is good to know." He took a sip himself. "So yea, I believe it is from the mirror universe. They have gotten themselves a little out post, though I don't think there is anything left. I do believe this may not be the last of them. So I think we should get as much information as we can."
"Indeed I agree. Has this been the more recent incursion of the mirror universe into our realm our, universe?" Autumn asked as she began to go over one of the padd's nearby.
"That's correct," Sonar replied. "I believe the colonel risked her life to get this intell. There were also some unpleasant encounters from what I understand. And it is believed it won't be the last of them either." Sonar sat down and took a padd as well. "At least, according to the Colonel's report. "
Autumn gave a nod. "I will state this, when they end up sticking their noses into our universe it just is unsettling. Okay information here, would this include possible hideout areas they they have placed?" the redhead examining the information.
"It is possible, but also I believe how far they are experimenting with wormholes in to our universe. We may have been able to collapse this one, but there is no way to say for sure if they can replicate their result and plan a full on invasion." He looked on a padd. "I also hope to see some important information on the ones that got in to our universe. They are currently running free still."
Autumn gravely nodded. "Looks like there will be a lot of data to go through. Tell me, do their devices send out an odd energy signature when it is activated? Has that been noted in some of the records? Maybe we can get someone to pinpoint the odd energy signature to trace if another one is activated."
"Oh yes.." Sonar grabbed another padd from the stack on the table. "According to science they detected some odd energy signature and frequencies, probably because they are from another universe. It does make sense that they would emit a different signature."
"Almost as bad as trying to find a needle in a haystack. So we will be needing to reach out to other listening posts that may find a record of that signature in order for us to maybe find where they might appear next. I don't like the fact that they are going to try to come into our area. Why can't they just better their own universe instead of trying to take over ours." Autumn was feeling a little bit angry about the idea of an incursion. "Anyway, I will be looking at different areas. For now though time to get back to work"
