Mission: S02 Episode 3: When Realities Collide (Incidentals)
Location: Space- Stricken Freighter
Timeline: After FothW PT1

As the fighter group approached the stricken Freighter, He said over the com,” Right lads, Ramon, take the back, Jeffries take the port side, Hanson take this side and I’ll do the front,” as he knew that the three other pilots had heard him as the peeled off from the formation that they were in and moved towards their assigned positions.

As Paul reached his own position and started his part of the scan, He wondered how badly the crew was and tried to open a channel this close to the ship, He said,” This is Lieutenant Paul Winchester of the USS Tomcat, Please respond,” as he knew that their long-range coms might be out but short range. He waited for a response, but got none as he tried once more, “This is Lieutenant Paul Winchester of the USS Tomcat, Please respond,”

After a few more minutes, he still got nothing in a response as to the status of the life signs on the stricken vessel, he opened a channel to the Tomcat, =/\=Big Bird, This is Bowman, we have arrived at the stricken Vessel and beginning scans and have tried to make contact, =/\= as he knew that getting this scan might help find out the answers to the questions about this vessel.

=/\=Bowman, this is Big Bird,=/\= Came the voice of his aide de Camp =/\= we read you load and clear, continue scans and await further orders,=/\= as he knew that this was going to become a protect the ship sort of thing or it could be depending on what the scans revealed, as he looked at the data that was being collected and transmitted back to the Tomcat in short data bursts every 5 seconds, he hoped that the crew of the freighter were still alive.

He replied over the com, =/\=Copy that big bird, Bowman out,=/\=

3 hours later...

=/\= Bowman, this is big bird, Mission complete come on home,=/\= Came the voice of Ensign Lauren Jordan, as Paul knew that the ship had gained all the data it needed, Paul replied, =/\=Copy that Big bird, we are returning home, =/\= as he knew that the rest of the flight had heard the message and were returning to formation near their leader, Paul thought oO well, that wasn’t difficult was it Oo as they started to make their way back to the Tomcat.

Just then without any warning Paul felt his fighters rear shield to fluctuate as four blips appeared on his scope =/\=All fighters, this is Bowman, we are under attack,=/\= he stated over the com, He continued, =/\= Commence attack pattern alpha,=/\= as they peeled off from the positions and moved to go after the lead Enemy fighter. Paul unlocked his weapons cache and set his targeting system to auto lock on to the nearest enemy fighter, He thought oO And I thought this could not go pear-shaped, Oo as the dogfight began in earnest.

=/\=Copy that Bowman, =/\= replied Highlander as Paul knew his team would not let him down, he also knew that this was his first major test in a fighter and he was going to pass it as he didn't want to fail and lose his wings.
