Mission: S02 Episode 3: When Realities Collide (Incidentals)
Location: Sickbay-USS Tomcat
Timeline: Mission 4 Day 59 to 65-3

Paul had nodded off after Lieutenant Coro had left him in peace, and to keep trying to lift his new artifical arm, that had been fitted by Doctor Cahill. Whom still hadn't given him the remote for the arm yet, and why was that he wondered; as he looked over at the silver arm? Just then he noticed someone in a blue coat heading directly for him. He thought oO Can I not have some peace here and rest? Oo as he watched the woman come closer to his bio bed, Paul hadn't even met the ships counselor out side of work and nor had he been planning to, but it seemed like the immoveable object was heading for him. He said," Hello and what can I do for you today?"

"I can tell you are tired Lt so I wanted to say hello and wish you a good rest. When you are ready to talk, my door is open, always." she said softly. She could just imagine all the thoughts going through his head right then, chief among them was likely anger but after that went away there would be lots of other feelings and doubts he would need to work though. "I am Iria by the way, the other counselors will be around helping in Sickbay for a bit if you need any help with anything." she added softly.

Paul looked back at her for a moment and then said,"Counsellor , I know that I have been unwilling to speak to you and I have my reasons not to," he looked back at her as he continued," and it is not because of this Artifical arm," as he tried to lift the cybernetic arm. He concluded, "so, please don't take it the wrong way,"

"No offense taken Lt Winchester," she gave a small smile, "I know not everyone likes to talk to a counselor any counselor but," she paused gently. "It is part of the deal you have to talk to someone if not me one of the others. So we can be sure you are okay." Iria said softly, "Everyone has someone or something they avoid for their own reasons and while they may or may not be valid. Working around them or the system doesn't turn out well in the end. For anyone. We all have our duties and regulations to follow." she finished quietly.

"I know I have to talk Counsellor and i have no choice in the matter as I've been grounded and the Captain has told me," Replied Paul looking back at her, as he continued speaking," That unless I see you I can not go back on duty," as he knew that the flight needed him and he needed them to help him get over the loss of the arm. He finished," all I want to do is get back to work and take my mind off this," as once more he tried to lift the arm. "Anyway counsellor I Need some sleep," Paul said as he tried to lay down with the new arm.
