First meeting

Kit was just leaving his quarters after having to pick up a Padd for work. Before that, he popped into sickbay to check on Major Donovan. "Skipper's tough. It'll be fine!" he told himself before he stepped into the nearest turbo lift. "Lounge," he ordered and the lift started to go its merry way.

Cody stepped off the bridge and headed straight to the lounge. It was his first full day on security and he ended up working the tactical station as well. However, the work was not difficult it was mentally intense keeping up with both stations.

The swoosh of the doors and small chatter echoed through the lounge. He nodded to a couple familiar faces though he did not know their names. Cody spotted a table near one of the view ports that was empty, after ordering a quick beer he sat in the chair and stared at the stars.

Kit noticed the new Sec/Tactical officer walk in and recognised him immediately. He started towards him after using a nearby replicator for some hot chocolate. As soon as he arrived, he spoke. "Do you mind some company, sir?" he asked.

"No I don't mind at all, please have a seat, please reserve Sir for my father or the bridge," Cody said jokingly as took a sip of his drink. "You can call me Cody."

"Cool" Kit said, extending a hand. Call me Kit," he added. He promptly sat down and took a sip of cocoa.

Cody looked at the Caitian "so Kit how did you come to serve on the Tomcat?" Parker asked.

"Asked for it, actually." he began. "My last ship got shot up by the Borg and I was posted to Earth for a while. My jarhead butt needs to be in space!" he laughed.

Shrugging "having known some marines and even having some as friends, I have to agree on that a marine stuck behind a desk is not really a marine, especially if they can serve in the field" Cody joined in the laughter too. "Have you met the Captain and XO yet or even the Bravo Unit commander, Major Donovan?" He asked.

"I've had the pleasure for both." He replied

"So what do you think of the Major? You know she is not fully human and hails from an alternate reality and have you seen her real eyes?" Cody asked Kit.

Cody had a glimpse of the Majors real eyes behind her glasses and it unnerved him a little, still, she was easy on the eyes as well as intimidating, he had never seen anyone that tall before.

"Well I definitely didn't know that!" he said.

"I found out by accident when I was cleaning the security files, I could not get any deeper into the file, but her reality was devastated by an apocalyptic war. Do not know who or even what or why, but easy on the eyes she may be, she is still a lethal weapon" Parker responded as they stepped out onto the recreation deck. "Want to get a drink first?" Parker asked.

"Sounds like a plan! Lead on Cody." Kit replied.

With that, the pair walked down the corridor and into the Tomcats 10-forward and took a seat at the bar and ordered their own type of drinks and just sat the talking about everyday things. Parker was also running security concerns through his mind, he was after all a security officer and he always liked to be prepared for the unexpected.
