Return of Shuttle Challenger

Mission: S02 Episode 3: When Realities Collide (Incidentals)
Location: Various
Timeline: Mission Day 67-4

The group had finished their mission and were returning to the Tomcat, as we neared the sector Doctor Cahill discovered something which came quite as a surprise to all on the shuttle.

"Lt Shakram full stop, rig to run silently no unnecessary noise for anything all internal systems including life support at lowest levels. They are Jem'Hadar ships on our sensors" Cahill announced and the shuttle was rigged for silent running and power shut down while the patrol was in the area.

"If they find us we will be just a snack for their weapons. All Communications silent. If attacked we will aid the Tomcat as best we can. And wait for a chance to sneak back onboard" Cahill added then fell silent for the rest of the duration the patrol was in the area.

Dr Cahill and the others sat there watching, they knew any noise would alert the patrol to their presence. They all almost held their breath hoping the patrol would move on. After a while, they powered up their engines and left.

Dr Cahill kept everything running silent while she made sure they were gone. Once sure she and Shakram started power-up systems.

Once Communications was up she sent a narrow band message. =/\= Challenger to Tomcat, request permission to enter landing bay. =/\= Cahill said.

Activating her Commbadge =/\= Permission granted Challenger, welcome home, Somers out =/\= with this dome Somers returned to her data Padd to catch up on some files while on the bridge.

Shakram knew that this was going to be the hardest landing ever that she had attempted in her flight career as the only indication the Tomcat was in their flight path was the shuttlebay doors opening to show the shuttlebay to a ship that did not seem to be there, it would have to be a quick landing and this is not what she was looking forward to.

"OK everyone settled in and set up for a hard landing" Dr Cahill smiled, "I will assist you in getting us back on board Shakram. We will be just fine. You could do this blindfolded if you had to" Cahill assured Coro

Shakram replied "As long as you don't turn me into a female version of Winchester " looking back at the Doctor as she referred to Paul's prosthetic arm, as she turned back to the console she started tapping commands into.

Dr Cahill smiled at her "that will not happen as I have faith in your flying skills, especially it will not happen a tractor beam has locked onto us and is helping guide us into Shuttle Bay two" She smiled "report to your duty stations for further orders" Commander Cahill finished.
