Mission: S02 Episode 3: When Realities Collide (Incidentals)
Location: Deep space between USS Tomcat and New Xindus
Timeline: Day 59 - 64

- USS Tomcat -

The Dominion patrol had left the area and as the extra power systems came back on the Communications came to life.

=/\= Lady luck to Casino Royale, come in, please. We have answered a distress call for a freighter that is badly damaged found a crew full of women that need not only a new ship but medical care as well, they were apparently attacked, Do I bring them as a rescue? =/\= Maia said.

Somers opened up a connecting channel =/\=Casino Royale to Lady Luck, what is the damage should you bring them back? Remember our orders =/\= Somers said curiously as to how those names came to be and who was the Bond fan.

=/\=We can give them a ride to New Xindus, their ship is a wrecked hulk. We have stabilized life support but the power systems need a starport to repair and the warp core has already been ejected. Structural integrity is down to 12 percent, its time to abandon ship=/\= Maia said.

She sighed heavily "there is always something going wrong" she said to herself =/\= Acknowledged Commander, bring them back to the ship, but they are not to leave the shuttle bay when they do come back, our location is one light-year outside of the New Xindus Sensor perimeter, the main shuttle bay will be ready, Somers out=/\= with that she closed the link and not long after other communications came through, she was just glad the patrol had left.

- Freighter -

Lt. Goodwin was headed back to the Lady Luck when she happened upon her double from this reality.

"Hello, I was wondering if I would meet you, I am Jenn." Said, Jenn, as she saw Lt. Goodwin. "I noticed that Aurora and Nicci had doubles and I thought I might as well. Nice to see what I used to look like before the enhancements. I was a pleasure slave on Terok Nor for the last year or so. Before that, I was in Starfleet as a navigation officer on a starship."

"I am Lieutenant Jennifer Goodwin. I am the navigator of the Lady Luck. I need to get back to my ship's bridge as I do have monitoring duties to tend to. If you would excuse me for now, but we can talk later," Lt. Goodwin then exited for the shuttle to monitor the situation with the Dominion ships.

The reddish-brown furred Maine Coon was sitting down watching the group with mismatched eyes purring softly. She had not made herself very known other than nabbing a bite form folks plates when they were finished. She was listening though and purred softly. Interested in how things were turning out.

Other-Nikki looked to Teela, her excitable purple-skinned friend with deep purple hair. "Can you verify what they're saying, Teela?"

"Well, it explains a lot," Teela said in response. "The temperature failures, the trouble sleeping and breathing, the ship groaning. I know we had to make a lot of adjustments to the ship but we didn't put in any really complicated diagnostic systems to diagnose any problems along the way."

"I was kind of more worried about escaping than any potential problems we'd encounter," Other-Nikki said. She silently blamed herself for almost killing everyone.

"Hey," Teela put a hand on her friend's shoulder, "you got us free. Freedom's worth the risk. Would you rather be a courtesan or at least be free for even a few days?"

"My dad read a story to me from the Bible," Other-Nikki answered. "The Israelites complained about their food at Moses and wished they were back in Egypt as slaves. At least there they had food."

"We were slaves in a gilded cage," Teela said. "Sure we had prime rib, Romulan ale to drink, and the best Andorian cheesecake in the quadrant, but we were still under the thumb of the Cardassians and the Dominion. We couldn't roam the station without submitting to the whims of any Cardassian, without complaint. Our bodies were theirs to do with as they please, regardless of how pleasurable they made it for us. That's the worst kind of slavery - when they make it addictively pleasurable. The Israelites went on to make a nation, didn't they?"

"They did," Other-Nikki answered. "And they survived the worst odds. Akkadians, Babylonians, Greeks, Romans, Muslims, all invaded and tried to get rid of them, but against all odds, they restored their nation in 1948."

"And we can do it too," Teela said. "Starting at New Xindus. Perhaps we should trust these other uses to help us either fix this ship or get us to the planet so we can finally start doing something about our universe."

- Engineering of Freighter -

Jenn made her way to the engine room. She wanted to talk to Timmy.

"Hey, stud," Jenn stated as she entered the engine room and approached Timmy.

He turned around to find his girlfriend coming at him to hug him. As he embraced the hug, he bent his head down to kiss her.

"What brings you to the engine room?" Timmy asked of Jenn.

"I just met myself, so to speak," Jenn replied. "There is a double of me on the Lady Luck. She looks just like I did prior to being altered for the Cardassians. It got me to thinking about how that could be possible."

"Well, I think I can understand where you are coming from. But don't worry about it too much. We have overcome a lot in a short time. I can't worry about a double of you when I am worried about you. I think this freighter is falling about faster than we can imagine. I think we need to either get the crew of the Lady Luck to take us with them or we need to take their ship and get out of here. We got away from Terok Nor and now we need to get to New Xindus to get a new life started with more of our kind." Timmy replied to Jenn.

"I will go see if I can talk to Nikki and see what we can do," Jenn replied and then exited Engineering to return to the bridge.

- Bridge of Freighter -

Jenn arrived on the bridge just in time to hear the leader of the other crew make a statement.

"I think you should gather your things we can give you a lift to New Xindus". Maia said.

"That would be a wonderful thing. Timmy says this freighter is barely holding itself together. I am all for getting off this freighter and getting to New Xindus." Jenn excitedly blurted out.l
