Mission: General Sim Postings
Location: Starbase 51
Timeline: Shore leave prior to Avian Flew Mission

[ON]

- Engineering on USS Tomcat -

Dodd had inspected engineering and found all was well. He was happy of his staff and was glad that the captain granted shore leave to the whole crew.

He had a skeleton crew from the statin come in to do a series of diagnostic checks and to some basic and routine maintenance and thus to be off duty while the ship was docked.

He had not booked any activities on the station but he knew he wanted to try to spend some of the free time with Iria. He headed for his quarters to feed Rocky and then think of how he wanted to spend some free time with Iria if she was up to it.

- Counselling offices -

Iria got the list of appointments for herself and the rest of the staff for the shore leave time. She smiled as she double checked the reservation for the station's holo-deck. =/\= Walon to Dodd do you have free time for this evening? I thought we could try the Central Park program if you want to?=/\=

- Dodd's Quarters -

Dodd had just given Rocky his mouse that he got from the science lab that seemed to have a surplus this time. Then gets a communication from Iria.

=/\= Dodd, here. Why that is interesting as I was thinking of reaching out to you about getting together on the starbase. I would really enjoy spending my free evening with you wandering ol' Central Park. =/\= Dodd replied grinning from ear to ear as he really has come to enjoy his time with Walon.

oO I am hoping I don't do anything to turn her away. I really like Iria and would like to see this last as she has been the best thing for me. Oo Dodd thought to himself as he waited for her response.

=/\=I reserved the holo-deck but will leave the program details for your choice, is 1900 okay?=/\= Iria asked as she finished cleaning her desk. She was smiling, excited to get to see him again soon.

- Holodeck -

Dodd was so excited to spend some time with Iria off the ship and off duty, that he arrived early and programmed the holodeck for the day in Central Park in New York City of the mid-twentieth century. He picked a late spring/early summer day so they could wear shorts or pants and still be comfortable.

oO Ohm, I hope this will be a nice date. I will just let the day go as it goes. Only thing I have planned is to spend time with Iria. Oo Dodd thought to himself. He had dressed in a pair of khaki cargo shorts with a teal polo shirt over a black t-shirt. He wore hiking boots that were comfortable to keep his feet comfortable with all the walking that would be involved with exploring Central Park. He also had a long-stemmed red rose which he would present to Iria when she arrived.

Iria walked in a few minutes later her hair was loose in curling waves around her shoulders, her shirt was teal and her shorts were beige her walking shoes were beige with teal laces. She smiled brightly seeing Remington and made her way to him.

<> Dodd smiled and then presented the rose to Walon. <>

<> iria smiled as she accepted the rose form him, she sniffed it and smiled again, << Thank you, I love roses. >> she wasn't sure what else the day held but spending it with him was all she really wanted.

<< Glad you like the rose. >> Dodd replied as he smiled and blushed slightly from her compliment about his appearance. << I merely planned to stroll leisurely thought ol' Central Park and maybe enjoy a street food lunch or maybe a picnic. I have not visited this setting since before our last mission. After you said you liked this location, I had decided that I would only visit this program with you. That way I can see why you like it so much. >>

Then Dodd gently took Walon by hand and led her to the entrance of Central Park a the corner of 97th Street and 5th Avenue. As they stepped fully into the holodeck the entrance closed and now they were fully in the program.

<> Dodd stated. oO I always find it easy to communicate with Iria. I hope this day goes smoothly. Oo

<> she had a feeling he would have laughed seeing her casing the ducks in her feline form.

<> Dodd mentioned. << But we could literally do anything you would like to do as we control the program. Or we could just see what the day had in store and set the program to play out on its own while we just enjoy each other's company. >>

Iria smiled up at him, << Let's see what the day brings us without playing with the program. Ducks are pretty funny birds, in my opinion, the sounds they make always makes me grin. Though they might be laughing at me just as easy. >> she sent his way as they walked she offered him a hand to hold with a playful wink.

He didn't even think twice and gently took the hand offered him. He wanted to see how the day went and was thrilled they got to spend this time together. <> Remy compassionately thought towards Iria.

oO I am thinking she could be my Imzadi and it would be so nice to have that link and know we can always be upfront and honest with each other. I have never had the bond of an Imzadi but I would know of no one I would rather bond with than with Iria. Oo Dodd thought to himself.

<< Best way to know folks are spending time together. I enjoy our time together and honestly, I don't think of it as work and haven't for a while. >> she paused for a moment then looked up at him. "I hope that isn't a problem and that you will still be comfortable with seeing me as a counsellor but off duty, I am just myself enjoying your company." She said it aloud but it was all true and honest.

"I honestly stopped thinking of you as a counsellor, a while back. You make me feel complete, I feel I can confide in you about anything and everything. I would continue to see you personally and professionally. I care about you in more ways than as a professional counsellor." Remy replied as he pulled Iria closer to his side. "I believe we have grown close and I could see you in my life for a long time to come. I am really enjoying every moment we can share and would like to keep that going."

Iria nodded her head as she snuggled into his side. She felt the same way and hearing him saying it was a great relief she smiled as she looked up at him...

Remy then pulled Iria up to him and kissed her with every ounce of passion he could muster and let his true feeling known to her. He was in love with her and never wanted to let her go.

The time in park whizzed by so fast if only the time spent on the last mission had gone that fast. Iria and Remy had spent a good six hours in ol' Central Park on the base's holodeck. Soon it would be time to return to the ship and prepare for the next mission.
