Location: Flight deck- USS Tomcat

After leaving the bridge, Paul had made it back home to his old stomping grounds, the flight deck. Although he could not technically fly anymore, this was where he felt most at home as he looked around the room for his old Aide. Lauren heard the hanger bay doors open and turned to see her old boss standing looking around the bay, She had missed him since he had been transferred to the helm, she had heard on the grapevine that he had a new arm fitted and had wondered how he was coping with it.

She walked over to him and said in greeting," Hello Lieutenant, How are you keeping?"

Paul replied, "I'm fine thank you Lauren," looking at her as he had remembered that he had scared the hell out of her when he had his accident, and then he continued," I never got to apologize for scaring you when I had my accident,"

Lauren looked back at him and said," Permission to Hug Sir," as tears started to well up, This was the first time he had mentioned it, for him to say that to her showed that he had come this far.

He replied," Permission granted," as he opened his arms to allow the ensign to hug him, although it was not permitted for a senior officer to allow a junior officer to hug them, Lauren needed reassurance that he was fine and put her mind at ease. Just then his Commbadge chirped and he tapped it as Lauren let go of him, he said," Winchester here, Go ahead,"

=/\= Somers to Winchester, bring the CAP back in if it has launched, if not, hold off on the CAP, we got a Distress call to answer =/\= she said

Tapping his Commbadge to make a two-way connection =/\= Roger that Captain, But do you wish Fighters on Standby ready? =/\= he replied as Lauren looked back at him knowing now his reason for being here.as he saw the wreckage of his fighter still being worked on. He thought oO How I'm going to miss her Oo as he watched Lauren move away slightly from him and tap her own Commbadge.

Lauren said =/\= All Pilots this Is not a drill, all Pilots to fighters, I repeat all Pilots to fighters,=/\= as she went back into full aide mode once more knowing that Paul was about to issue the order.

Just then Lieutenant Coro came out of the flight Managers Office and walked over to Lauren, "And who gave you that Order she growled at Lauren, not noticing Paul standing on the flight deck.

As he watched the two women discussing the orders that Lauren had anticipated coming from Paul when he heard the voice of the Captain come over the Comm.

=/\= Yes, but get your rear up to the bridge and man the helm, you can deal with the squadrons from the helm station if it is needed =/\= Somers said.

=/\= Roger that Captain, I'm on my way, Winchester Out, =/\= as he closed the channel and approached the two women, he glanced at both and said to them "Captain's orders, not mine, Get it done," as he turned to head back to the bridge leaving them both stunned at his remark as Shakram started bellowing commands as he exited the bay.
