– Bridge –

Maia returned to the bridge from decontamination feeling refreshed.

“That was quite an adventure,” Maia said.

“Okay Helm set course back to the planet warp six, engage when Ready” Somers ordered.

“Yes Sir” Barker replied he was covering for the absence of Winchester, but like an old hand he brought the ship about and sped up to full Impulse and as the other Gorn Hegemony ships arrived the Tomcat warped out. When at warp Somers looked to Sterling.

“Commander you have the bridge I got to do something before we get back to Xindaria,” Somers said and stood up and made ready to go to her CRR.

“Aye Captain,” Maia said taking the centre seat.

Maia watched the Captain exit the bridge, then checked her display console. No ships in the area unless they were cloaked. The Gorn ship was a tender and would be able to service the Slargh much more effectively than we could.

As Joe watched the Captain leave the bridge for somewhere on the ship, she continued to monitor her panel. “Never trust the Gorns” was all she could remember from those talks by her older Uncle the General… oO so we have a Tender coming to service the Gorns ship Oo thought Josefina as she just watched.

oO boy wouldn’t I give, just to watch their faces as we just light up the stern of both ships with a salvo of Photon Torpedoes Oo, thought Josefina relishing the thought while she continued to work the tactical panel… Oo Boom and a flash of light Oo continued the thought in Josefina’s mind as she finally broke off from her interesting thought. To all who saw her, they wondered why she was just smiling as she sat there working the tactical panel…

“Is there a problem Joe, your trigger finger seems a little itchy?” Maia asked 2LT Macapuno.

“No ma'am, just daydreaming on how I’d like to light up the stern of the Gorn and their tender with a photon torpedo,” replied Joe with a nervous laugh…

– CRR – Starbase 51 –

When the doors closed behind her she sat behind her desk and opened a channel to Starbase 51, after speaking with the Operations Officer the Lieutenant put her through to Alasia.

=/\= Captain Somers to Lieutenant Alasia =/\= Somers began.

=/\= Alasia here, Captain. It’s good to hear from you. What can I do for you? =/\=

The communications were voice only as the ship was closing in on Xindarian space and the long-distance Chronotron and Tachyon effects were beginning to be felt and they had begun to interfere with communications.

=/\= Lieutenant, it will be nice to finally meet you, but for now, while you wait I have an assignment for you. You will find out whether Starfleet’s presence out in the Mira Sector has ruffled some feathers of Independent but allied systems. It seems they want protection, but when you supply it, they whine that we are here. That aside, you have a mission to the class M planet Galen IV, that planet host a multitude of species, from both Alpha and Beta quadrants, I need you to go smooth things over and help them understand why Starfleet is always a presence. =/\=

=/\= Understood. Do we have a contact on the ground over there at present? =/\=

=/\= The Federation Liaison there is a Captain Forgal. He is understanding and easy going, I do not know who the current head of the Galen IV colony is at this moment in time, so be prepared for anything. *pause* I do not know who the other reps are currently but be wary of the Romulans. You can take Chief Warrant Officer Somers with you, she may not be a fully trained diplomat, but she grew up in the environment, so she does know how to behave in such instances. Plus, she can also double as a bodyguard/escort you will need one, do not let her size fool you. =/\=

Paul smiled. =/\= Irrespective of size, Captain. I’m not really in a position to criticize anyone’s physical capabilities. =/\=

=/\= Right, any more questions before *crackle* the signal is totally *crackle* gone? =/\= Captain Somers said ending with a question.

=/\= Yes, Captain. I might be losing you- can you read me? =/\=

=/\= *crackle* hold on *crackle* ah that is better, make it quick Lieutenant I do not know how long my work-a-round boost will work, I am also sending to you on a sub-channel any other information I have =/\=

=/\= I’m interested to know if you have any specific intelligence about circumstance on Galen. I would think, if anything, I’d be more likely to run into Cardassian interference. Why or I guess how do we think the Romulans have gotten a foothold on a world so far from their space? =/\=

=/\= What I have I am sending on a sub-channel. All other data on the Cardassians can be found in the Stations databanks. Your clearances will allow you to access a file called Viper, all we know of the Cardassian’s on Galen IV should be there *crackle* dammit, the signal is giving out any other things Lieutenant? =/\= Somers asked as the crackling got worse due to the anomalies in the area that they would be getting closer to.

=/\= I don’t think… I’m sorry, sir, you’re breaking up. Understood on ‘Viper.’ Will advise shortly. Alasia out. =/\=

Looking at the dead Communications terminal “damn anomalies!” she complained and caught up on some work, it was a quiet trip back to Xindaria and she was still quite in shock at how many back-door programs Sheela had in place.

– Counselling offices –

Iria sat at her desk making updates on reports and checking the schedules for everyone, besides the away mission, and few issues with Petty Officers it had been rather quiet. She hummed softly as she wrote, and her thoughts kept drifting to the goodbye kiss she had shared with Dodd, after a moment more she finished her set of reports and got to her feet, bringing her PADD with her as she left the desk and walked out of the doorway. she would take the report to the bridge.

– Bridge –

Iria stepped off the lift and looked around the bridge, walking to Sterling she offered up a smile, “Commander I have the report from the counselling offices if you want it now?”

“Is this a confidential matter Lieutenant?” Maia asked.

“No nothing confidential just bringing the report. I also wanted to give you a reminder that you have a session due when you have time, Commander.” Iria said as she offered the PADD with the updated counselling office results, and still need sessions to be met.

“Thank you, Councilor,” Maia said taking the PADD.

She looked over it.

“I will schedule an appointment with you as soon as I’m relieved, Doctor,” Maia said.

Iria shook her head, “Just a counsellor not a Doctor with a PhD or anything yet if you’d rather I can set up your appointment with Doctor Aldana who does have a PhD.”

–Sickbay–

Meanwhile, somewhere in sickbay, Aldana suddenly thoughts she heard hir name, Aldana looked around, but save for Sombra near-by no one was around. “Huh, must have been my imagination.” Aldana scratched hir left ear and went back to work.

– Bridge –

“Not at all, I will see you, Lieutenant,” Maia replied.

Coming back onto the bridge after finishing with the new Diplomatic Officer she looked around “SITREP Commander” Somers announced approaching her First Officer “how long till we are back in orbit again?” she asked.

“We are thirteen minutes out, Captain. We are on approach course for insertion into a standard orbit.” Maia replied. “Still no contact with the away team, but that’s to be expected especially at this range,” Maia added.

*Nodding* “Understood Commander, take us into standard orbit when ready and begin scanning the surface of the planet and try contacting the away team,” Somers said.

“Aye Captain,” Maia responded

“15 minutes later, The Tomcat was inserted into a standard orbit.”

– Engineering –

“Southern, Williams, Thax,” called out Lt Taggert as she walked out of the Jeffries Tube. She proceeded to the main ‘pool table’ in engineering, where she could get an overall situation report for everything. The three crewmen walked over to meet her there.

“Okay, we’ve got some missing team members,” she said to them, looking each in the eyes. “Let’s get everyone who’s not otherwise occupied with temporal experience working on this problem. They’re gone, and we need to get them back.”

“Well,” started Williams as he began thinking, “whether it’s tachyons or chronitons, both present similar issues. The density of the remaining field can give us a rough approximation of when they appeared in the past.”

“Question is,” Southern chimed in, her alto voice giving her somewhat of an air of authority, “if they’re in the past, will we find their bodies there, or will there not be anything there since we will have already rescued them by now?”

“Time travel gives me a headache,” Thax said, rolling her eyes. She was a Trill ensign just assigned to the ship, tall with blonde hair and blue eyes, and with a symbiont over 600 years old inside of her. “Reminds me of that time on the original Enterprise…”

– Bridge –

With the Captain now on the bridge, Josefina was still trying to contact the shuttle and then…. ‘nothing’. No static, or any sort of background interference. Even a receiver on the other end emits some type of electronic signal; but in this case, it was as though the shuttle had never existed…

Suddenly the events became faster as she immediately notified the bridge officer of the problem, and then she notified the captain in one fell move…. All she could remember was saying on her communicator to the Captain was … “The shuttle had simply disappeared;” to where she did not know…

Maia was at science 1 when she heard the shuttle had disappeared. She scanned the area and got some very peculiar readings. A burst of Energy then time seemed to fold in on itself. Maia recorded the phenomenon for future study and analysis. There was no upsurge in Chroniton’s but the local gravimetric subspace graviton field sharply spiked. Maia then scanned for the shuttle and it was indeed gone.

*Looking back at Sterling at the Science Station* “Something happened to the Away Team Commander?” Somers asked.

“Confirmed Captain the away team is gone shuttle and crew,” Maia said continuing to study the readings.

she stood up and walked over to Sterling’s station “scan for any Starfleet signature or metals, if they have vanished it may be due to Chrontotron anomaly, so if they were pulled back in time then Dodd may have left a message possibly on a PADD or Tricorder but powered down, find out what you can” Somers said.

Iria frowned but kept her mouth shut, she wouldn’t be able to help until there was more to know. She quietly thought good thoughts and hopes for those now missing, including the one she loved. **~~Wherever you are Remy stay safe!~~** she thought, as she looked and listened to the events unfolding on the bridge around her.

*Looks over to tactical* “Lieutenant launch a class five probe, equip it with a sensor package equipped to detect faint Starfleet metals traces, let’s find out what happened to our crew” Somers said.

Quickly Josefina loaded the probe as directed and fired… “Whomp” went the probe as it began to send out signals… “Reporting ‘Probe out and now beginning its run’” replied Josefina who was now watching her station monitor for any signals… “Drats” though Josefina as the Probe drew nothing but a blank reception… “MA'AM, probe reports no signals, or anything to show that our away team ever reached the Planet” Replied Josefina to Maia who was now standing by Josefina’s shoulder watching nothing… It was as though the shuttle had never entered the planet’s atmosphere, and or landed…

“Excellent *looks* “at Sterling keep scanning Commander” *looks to Iria* “Lieutenant Walon my ready room if you please!” Somers added.

Iria nodded and followed the Captain to her ready room. She had a thought that always made her grin, what was the ready room ready for anyway? It tickled her funny bone and she wondered why it wasn’t called a sea cabin instead of the ready room.

“Aye Captain, we’ll try to figure this out,” Maia replied.

As she headed to her Ready Room she tapped her Commbadge =/\= Somers to Aldana, to my Ready Room ASAP=/\=

=/\= We’re on our way Captain =/\= Aldana responded and closed the link.
