– Sickbay –

At the sound of ‘Alpha’ name out of thin air, Sombra perked up from wherever he had stowed himself. Doctor Aldana stood and with a slight pat on hir thigh, Sombra joined hir as they were headed for the door. =/\= We’re on our way Captain. =/\=

– Ready Room –

Iria stood still waiting for whatever the reason was the Captain had called her and Aldana to the ready room. It wasn’t long before the door chime rang.

“Enter,” Somers said and looked up to see Aldana enter and stand next to Walon with hir faithful Sombra.

The Kazarite entered the ready room with hir service animal at hir side. S/he began to feel like s/he might need him in this situation. S/he stood next to Iria at attention.

Sombra sat at attention at ‘Alpha’s’ left-paw side. He sniffed at hir hand gently brushing it with the lightest touch in order to get a better read on hir, but it almost came across as if he might’ve whispered if he could; ‘I’m here.’

“Please be seated both of you” Somers began, “you are not in trouble, I figured giving you both assignments specific to your fields would be better given in a more quieter atmosphere, whether you do or do not know long-range sensors and communications have lost contact with our Away Team, as the planet is surrounded by anomalies getting accurate readings is hard, so when we get closer our sensors should improve. Now, where you pair come in is this *pause* Lieutenant Walon I want you to work up a feel better programme for the Away Team when they return and make appointments with them. They will need some counselling as if what we see up here is any indication of what is down on the planet, they will be stressed, this is to be mandatory by my order, but you are to do this after Lieutenant Aldana has given them all a checkup *looks at Aldana* that includes Commander Cahill *looks back at the pair* ask your questions now as we will be arriving at Xindaria soon.

Iria nodded as she listened to the Captain as she was telling them the situation and what she wanted to be done. “I can get started right away,” she kept her tone even and calm though she was worried she had no doubt that with Remy, Teela, Doctor Cahill, and their new Marines on the team they would be back, and if not well they had Sterling and others on the ship that could get their heads together to help find them. She would focus on wellness and relaxation therapy after getting their cleared medical exams from, Aldana.

Somers looked expectantly at Aldana as Iria did not seem to have any questions.

As Doctor Aldana came around to take a seat, Sombra came around too and lay at hir feet.

“Yes captain, I have a question or two. What do we know about the environment the away team may have been exposed to; is there anything, in particular, I should look for during their check-ups?

“All we know the planet Xindaria is almost recovered from some long-ago cataclysm, so it has just returned to Class M level and there are Tachyon and Chronotron energy readings on the planet as well as in space, so adjust for temporal radiation and such. If there is anything abnormal to their last scans have a closer look but as for effects, we do not really know what they have been exposed to down there.” Somers said.

Doctor Amiri Aldana thought things over for a moment, “captain, should we be concerned about contaminating the crew or the ship somehow? Perhaps we should put them into quarantine. I could easily have things set up to beam them directly to decon.”

"they will be returning by shuttle, I will want you to set up a holding area in the shuttle bay and then a quarantine in medical, until they have been cleared, if any have issues with this, let me know, but they should know the score anyway, anything else Amiri?" she asked.

Aldana shook hir head 'no,' "Nothing else that immediately comes to mind. Thank you, Captain."

*Smiling* "okay," she said looking to Aldana.

While Aldana spoke to the Captain, Iria worried the inside of her bottom lip as she thought over the folks that were missing, she knew that the most important thing for the away team to know when they got back was that they had their home on the ship intact, their duties, and their friends to support them. Whatever they went through in the past would affect them somehow it might show quickly or slowly but either way no matter what she and the rest of the counselling team would get them through each challenge as it came up.

After it appeared that Aldana had nothing else to say, “You look worried Iria, what is it?” the Captain asked the ships Chief Counsellor.

“Just thinking, Captain I don’t know what they’re going through but I am certain we can meet whatever comes up.” She said lightly. Iria had faith in their crew, her shipmates and friends. They would get through it together.

“By all accounts temporal anomalies and Tachyon and Chronotron radiation, I do not need to tell you that being dragged into the past can have a profound effect of the mental processes, you will need to adjust for that Iria?” Somers asked.

"I have already made notes to do research for previous cases, I will make sure we are ready for them when we have them back," Iria said with confidence. There were other missions on other ships were such thing occurred there would be reports and details of treatment and suggestions for improvement for possible future cases.

*Smiling* "Excellent, remember they may not show symptoms straight away, but we all know symptoms can manifest in many ways *looks to Aldana* Amiri until all are cleared past decon you will be the acting CMO, when Commander Cahill is cleared she takes back her post" Somers said then looked back to Iria "Iria, while it will be hard to keep watch, I want you to keep an eye on their mental states and if they start showing any signs of PTSD try to deal with it, then make a report up for me, can you both do that?" She asked looking at the pair.

Iria nodded as she looked Captain Somers in the eye, "No problem Captain if they have any signs of PTSD I will make a note in my reports and give details on their treatment measures." She was mostly certain the counselling department could handle the situation once Aldana had them cleared medically.

Aldana indicated that hir had nothing further to say, as Somers looked at the pair.

"Okay, thank you both, we are all finished here, dismissed" Somers said and watched the two officers file out of the Ready Room, when they were gone she looked at the work she had on her desk and sighed heavily.
