After leaving the Science Lab and Sterling to what she did best Somers returned to the bridge, as Winchester was doing Intelligence Officer stuff Ensign Anjelica Wright was taking a turn at the helm and she was doing a fine job.

"All okay Ensign?" Somers asked returning to her chair.

"Captain, all is within normal parameters for the circumstances," Wright replied.

"Excellent" Jasmine said as the bridge was abuzz with activity, she had not long returned to her seat when Winchester returned from the Intelligence section below, she looked at him.

"So, Lieutenant Winchester before you say if we have good or bad news with the Intel stuff I need you to check on Lieutenant Coro, her flight is out there on CAP, I want you to bring her and her flight in and send out Lieutenant Tabor and his Marine flight and then rotate the CAP flights every four hours" Somers instructed.

"Ma'am, Lieutenant Coro and her team are on an intel gathering mission, but Lieutenant K'ore is out on CAP," replied Paul as he knew that Shakram was going to gather as much detail about why the Gorn were here

"Good, now when you have completed that, tell me if you had any success with breaking the Orion codes and what Intel if any you managed to get?" Somers asked.

"Sir, Intel data being received from the Intel craft," replied Paul as tons of data started to pour in and some of it were very interesting, to say the least.

"Okay, bring in K'ore and his flight and send out Tabor and his section, then keep an eye on that Intel" Somers said.

"Will do Ma'am," replied Paul as he tapped in his commands to his console, just then he received a coded message from Shakram that they were about to begin the download. "Ma'am just got word on getting the intel," he said giving his report.

*Indicating for him to continue* "go ahead Lieutenant, in brief, please?" Somers responded.

"Sir, from what I am reading is that the gecko type lifeforms that are on the planet have Gorn type DNA," replied Paul, he continued, "and the Gorn don't know how they could have been there," as this was an interesting idea, he thought oO Could the Gorn of somehow gone back to a pre-evolved state back in the past?"

She looked off to the side as she thought of what he said, then when he looked back "access the known DNA files we have on Gorn and then send them down to Medical to Aldana or someone in medical to see if these could be early Gorn" Somers said.

" I already have Captain," replied Paul as he knew things were going to get better, he also hoped that the away team were alright, but what and how state they were going to be in was the question.

*Nods* "Okay then let's go," Somers said and both left the bridge.

- Engineering -

Pril and Machado were now working with Nelson all to help keep engineering running smoothly for Assistant Chief Taggert. They wanted to make sure she was able to focus on the efforts to get the missing away team home. They all missed Chief Dodd but working for Taggert was just not the same.

"I am so glad we found the signal from Dodd, that I hope it helps get him home soon," Pril stated to Nelson.

"Pril, I am sure what you and Machado discovered will be used to help pinpoint how to get him and his team home. Just be patient." Nelson calmly stated to Pril.

"I am hoping that Taggert will get a well deserved few days of R and R after this as she has been a trooper keeping all of us here in engineering on our toes," Machado stated in response.

The three engineers continued their duties as they separated to keep working.

She was working hard to get her crewmates back; the staff in engineering was working hard. She just hoped she wasn't being too much of a hard*** to them. Taggert was busy working with the sensor grid, rigging it for measuring finer deviations in tachyons, chronitons, and gravitons that would indicate the crew returning from the past.

She left the engineering deck and went to the forward area of the ship, exiting the turbolift and getting into the Jeffries tubes, the spaces in between the decks, and pulled open several large panels, setting them aside so she could get to work. Nicci preferred to work with her hands; it kept her out of trouble, she had found. Hence, the LEGO in her quarters.

Nicci had a simple black tank top and jumpsuit on but tied the jumpsuit around her waist for comfort while she worked. She passed several hours adjusting isolinear chips, removing some to new banks, and adding in a few she had programmed last night herself, and added in a few new instruments she adjusted herself. The roughly 8" square device she had rigged held a number of very customized processors and sensor devices which would accept regular particulate inputs from the external arrays, and verify if there were any kind of change in the chroniton and tachyon readings. Nicci spent hours sitting Indian-style or on her back hanging out into the equipment, adjusting, changing, moving, working the equipment, improving its sensitivity. By the time she was done, she was covered in sweat and grime. Her hair was up in a ponytail, which reached halfway down her back, trying to keep out of her way.

She repeated the process from the starboard side to the port side, working as a trooper, eating a simple lunch while working, indulging in her weakness for peanut-butter cookies with candy corn baked in for a little dessert.

"Damn!" she said as she got a shock from one of the conduits, waving her hand in the air. "Come on you little bugger. It's just a tachyon-chroniton sensor measurement module upgrade. Take the damn equipment and register it!"

The computer beeped in defiance, not taking the upgrade on the port-side as easily as before.

"Well, let's see how you like this," she said, a little anger in her soprano voice. She wiggled her hand into a small space, and pulled out a small grid relay, causing the entire array to shut down. "Take that in your impulse manifold and stuff it," she quipped.

Nicci took the large module, and added in a new data buffer, and reconnected it. "Now...let's try one more time, Tomcat. Be nice to me and I'll flush the warp coils extra after we get the crew back. You like that?"

She replaced the small device, and the hum of the electronics and energy coming back online came back. The display showed the reboot of the array, entirely a plug-and-play device like computers of old, and she saw the upgrade module she had jury-rigged registered with the computer and the array and came online like expected.

"I knew you'd like that, Tomcat," she said with a smile, petting the module and the ship's Jeffries tube as she climbed back into the main tube. She packed up and crawled back out to the hallway, dishevelled and with her tank top clinging to her curvy figure, breathing as if she'd just run a 100-meter dash, with her toolkit in hand, and ran right into Commander Sterling.

Maia was nearly knocked to the ground, she was on her way to science lab 2.

"Lt Taggert, Please be careful," Maia chided.

"Commander, pardon me," she said, embarrassed. Her cheeks got a little red. "I was just adding in a custom module for the science labs. It should help our two main sensor arrays read much finer chroniton and tachyon emissions from Lt. Dodd and help us get them back. Took all night to put the things together, program, and install."

Maia helps the girl up and helps her gather her things.

"Yes I saw that on the duty roster why the hurry?" Maia asked.

"The sensors were a little fuzzy, to say the least, on the whole area's chroniton and tachyon field strength and layout," Taggert explained. "Based on the temporal properties of both particles, they could interfere with regular ship operations if we manoeuvre through areas of space with high enough concentrations of either. Imagine your food ageing two weeks in the span of seconds, or a computer component ageing ten years in three seconds, wearing out or causing a power failure. With these modules we can both navigate the region more carefully, and also hopefully get Lt. Dodd and the others back more quickly by being able to map the field fluctuations. Based on what I just saw on the sensor readings before and after, the field is building to something, and I need to get to the lab so we can time the retrieval of our crew. If we miss this chance, we'll miss the crew for another six months."

Sterling simply nodded in response to this and got down to work on finding a Solution to their missing Crew...
