Lamia lay cuddled up in Chris’ arms, her head resting on his chest. They’d made love several times during the night at Lamia’s behest, almost like she was trying to prove something to herself. Eventually falling asleep in the position where she now lay. Opening her eyes she gently ran her fingers across Chris’ chest, lifting her head to give him a gentle morning kiss. “Good Morning Handsome.”

Laying on his back asleep, he is roused awake by Mia with a gentle kiss *mumbles* "morning beautiful, you feeling better today?" he asked.

"Much, thank you" *laying her head back on his shoulder* "I'm sorry if I was over demanding last night. I just needed to feel special again."

*puts his arm around her as she puts her head on his shoulder* "You will always be special to me Mia, I mean I managed to land a very attractive Officer, me a Career Grunt, I consider myself lucky" he responded.

Lamia smiled warmly. "I wish I was assigned here on the station with you, I'm not relishing going back out on the ship without you Chris."

He just smiled in a mysterious way *feigns innocence* "what happened to you, happened off the ship, so why would you find being back on the ship, so terrifying, none of the crew would think less of you and both Lieutenant's Dodd and Walon know what you went through as they did too" he said, he knew full well why she did not relish returning to the ship.

Lamia nodded. "I guess you're right, I can't hide away here forever can I?" Oo as much as I'd like too. oO "Before all of this, I never really considered when I'd want to have children. Now I'm wishing I'd considered having a family before." She sighed before offering a smile. "Sorry, I'm trying not to wallow in my feelings but it's easier said than done."

*affectionate smile as he looks at her* "I know it is not easy but is that not why you have me to help you out?" he asked.

*smiles warmly* "It is indeed. I...err I'm scared Chris. I feel like I'll be under a microscope, being watched in case I can't do my job."

*sitting up more in bed* "Nah! you are just being silly, this issue is only in your mind, sadly though recovering is not a quick process and will take time. Remember I am here for you Mia I will not judge you for things that were not of your doing or fault" he said.

Mia nodded as she made herself more comfortable. “I’m going to miss warm nights in bed and these morning cuddles!” She went quiet for a moment before looking up at him. “What would you say if I asked you to marry me? I don’t mean a marriage proposal, I mean just pick a chapel or somewhere and just go and do it!”

*Deer Caught in Headlights moment* "while I will not rule that out, let's wait some time, after all, we have not long been together and besides I am kinda old fashioned. There is also the matter of getting the Captain's permission as you are an Officer and I am enlisted, not a common occurrence even in today's military *beat* but I will not rule marriage out" Chris said, he really liked and loved Mia, but he did not feel ready to get married just yet.

*nods* "I guess it was kind of a silly question." She sighed. "I have no idea why but I feel like I'm grasping at straws! Trying to hold the threads of me together! If that makes any sense?"

*teasing tone* "oh great I got me a crazy one!" he Jokingly said and begun giggling.

"Crazy am I?" She couldn't help but smile, his laughter was infectious and she was soon giggling with him. When the laughter subsided she rested back on his shoulder. "So how long do we have for shore-leave before I have to say goodbye to you again?"

He hesitated "I do not know, I suppose the Captain wants to make sure those who were captured have time to recover from their ordeals after all from what I have seen and heard what you all went through was not nice, whatever you think of the Captain she is not heartless. *pause* At some point the Captain may ask to see you and do not ask me why I do not know, but it would be her M.O" he said.

Lamia nodded "I didn't mean to suggest the Captain would rush us off." She sighed. "I'm sorry! I feel like I'm asking stupid questions for no real reason. I'm just..." She shook her head. "I don't know what I'm doing."

"Join the club, I rarely know what I am doing from one day to the next, this is where acting comes into it," Chris said "I fancy a drink, want some coffee?" he asked sitting up to get out of bed.

“Just a cola please.” Lamia offered a smile as she propped her head up, on one hand, to watch him get out of bed. She had to admit he was an extremely handsome man and she was lucky to have him. “I’ve concluded that I’m a very lucky woman. Lucky to have you!”

"Got it," Chris said and stood and stretched his limbs, his toned muscles responding to the stretch "okay muscle pain," he said wincing and looked back at Mia with a teasing smile "what did you do to me, last night woman?" smiling as he went over to the replicator "One cup of earth coffee three sweeteners and milk and one cold glass of cola" he said and the drinks materialized, he picked them up as walked back to the bed and handed Mia her glass of Cola, he sat on the bed next to her and took a sip of his coffee.

Lamia sat up in bed, she didn’t bother pulling the cover-up being naked in front of Chris wasn’t something that bothered her. “What did I do to you? From what I recall both of us were pretty passionate last night!” She sipped her drink before placing it down on the bedside table. “Thank you for that, you always make me feel special and last night was no exception.”

"I do not know what you did, but I did not have muscle pain before last night *smiling* you are like a contortionist, hence my question what did you do to me?" he asked laughing now.

Lamia grinned as she moved over to him and taking his cup off him and she put it on the bedside table "well I remember doing this..." she said and gently pushed him back onto the bed and repeated what happened last night, it seemed that the chemicals that were given to her still permeated her system and were a little more resistant to the nullifying injections that the Doctor had given her to combat what was done.

For the next hour, the world shook for Chris his much-needed coffee forgotten, when all had finally calmed down he stood up on unsteady legs "gonna have me a shower, then I am going to have to get some rest and you need to go see the doctor, while I am not complaining it seems those nullifying injections you were given do not seem to be working properly, I have not been this exhausted since basic training" he said getting dressed slowly due to exhaustion after he gotten his trousers on he finished his now cold coffee. "well Mia I will see you later after my shower I am going to go down and see the new Rifles and see how the new Tomcat MCO is" He said putting on his top.

Lamia smiled as she watched her man dress. “I’ll head straight down to Sickbay and get it sorted out” She put on a pouting face for a moment before grinning. “I’m sorry I didn’t mean to wear you out! But I enjoyed it nonetheless.”

"So did I, so did I, but I need my strength, and *smiling* there is always another day I am not going anywhere anytime soon, so I will shave and get a shower before I head to Marine country," He said.

Lamia nodded and smiled. "I'll borrow your shower once you're gone! I daren't come in with you!" She grinned. "I'll stay right here until you're done."

*leans over to kiss her* eventually he breaks the kiss and heads into the shower to freshen up. Eventually he finishes up and partially dressed walks over to his closet and puts on a clean uniform and as he is walking past the sleeping area "shower is all yours Mia, I will see you later, I am going to go see the new MCO parade his new command" he said as he went past.

Lamia nodded as she slid out of bed and headed for the shower. "I'll see you later Imzadi."

Looking back through the door and before it closed "most definitely" he said and then the doors closed and he was alone and he left his girl alone to freshen up.

oO Chris my boy, what did you do to deserve someone like her!? Oo he asked himself as he headed to the nearest Turbo lift.
