Squitch what does it mean?

A JP between Lt. Commander Swiftpaws and Lieutenant Walon

It had been an interesting day for Iria she had several times where she had nearly laughed aloud. All because of one muttered very curious word from the resident mousian on the ship. Sheela Swiftpaws. Added to the fact that thus far Swiftpaws had not come in to see her Iria figured it was nigh-time she did so.

=/\=Walon to Swiftpaws when you have some free time can you come to my office please?=/\= Iria intoned lightly after hitting her commbadge.

As usual, Sheela responded with her trademark acknowledgement of =/\= "Squeak." Followed by, " Whoze yooz?" =/\= Unsure who this Walon was. She could easily access the ship's roster and find out. But sometimes it was better to find out from the source when she had time. Which at the moment, she was idling in her quarters, working on heavy duty brute force hacker program. With the interruption came at a natural pause in her work, so she wasn't totally irritated, but it did break the flow of creativity in the art of nefarious activities.

Iria cleared her throat and tried again, =/\=Iria Walon ship's counsellor sorry for the confusion.=/\= she retorted wondering where that g had come from when she spoke. She gave a mental shrug and smiled. It was going to be one of them kind of days it seemed.

Sheela looked thoughtful as she saved her work progress. =/\= "Squee.." =/\= She shut off her independent computer and left her quarters. She was wearing what was comfortable to her. Her usual all black clothing. Except for the big faded yellow smiley face and dark brown sandals. "Computer where is Walon's Office?" She inquired as she made her way to the medical section.

The computer replied with the answer and soon Sheela arrived at the councillor's office.

Iria shook her head with a wry grin, as her guest arrived, "I just wanted to ask what Squitch meant; it has been giving me the giggles all day, and I really want to know the meaning of it after that you are quite free to go. I must also apologise for taking up your time."

"Mousian curse word," Sheela responded with a wry grin. "Iz could teach yooz a few more if interested." She relaxed a bit as she took the moment to relax from her work. "As for taking up my time. Iz needed a break."

Iria gave a soft laugh, "I gathered it might be a curse of some sort from the tone but what does it mean if I may ask?" she pointed to the chairs in the office. "Make yourself at home. Always glad to bring about a break if needed," she said with a smile.

"Bitch." Sheela simply stated, watching Iria with interest. It can't get any simpler than that. She helped herself to a drink from the in-office replicator and took a comfortable chair.

After a few more minutes which turned into an hour or more. Sheela taught Iria how to swear in Mousian. She noticed the time and had to leave to get back to her reports, plus also the councillors scheduled appointments.
