Mission: Season 2 Episode 1: The New Frontier
Location: Counselor's office
Timeline: Mission Day 3

Iria walked around her new office, it was odd being in charge of the counselling office, it was not what she was used too, but she was up to the challenge. She started off with making an appointment list and then started checking who might be ready to come and talk.

Her office was decorated in a cool mint green hue with a few splashes of colour from the few plants and paintings on the walls. The paintings were various ones she liked the look of and none by her but all offering something different to look at. She tapped her commbadge, "Walon to K'Muss if you are not busy would you care to talk for a bit?"

K'Muss was cleaning up around his quarters as his comm chirped. He promptly responded. " Just cleaning up around here," he said. " I can be there in 10 minutes if that's okay?" he said.

"That is perfectly fine, come when you are ready, I will be here," she replied. Iria closed the comm channel, and sat back, reading as she waited for K'Muss to arrive...

K'Muss arrived at the counsellor's office 5 minutes early. He pressed the chime. He took a minute to stretch his back before his appointment.

"Come on in." Iria replied at the sound of the chime, she sat aside the PaDD she'd been reading and faced the doorway with a welcoming grin on her face.

The doors swished open and K'Muss entered the office. He took a quick second to admire it before speaking. He stretched out his Hand.

Warrant Officer K'Muss, Counselor." he said. " Folks call me Kit though." he added

"Nice to meet you Kit, I prefer Iria to Counselor myself but whatever makes you more comfortable is fine. Would you care for something to drink?" she nodded towards her replicator as she spoke, "If so help yourself."

He walked over to the appliance and ordered a sports drink. He then sat down. He took a minute to get settled. Comfortable, he sat his drink on an adjacent table. " This is a nice office." he finally said.

"It is still not used to my own office yet truth told but that is okay. How are you liking the ship thus far, Kit?" she asked curiously as she regarded him.

" I'm loving it, actually." Kit said. " Change is good."

"Good, what are you enjoying the most about all this if I may ask?" she was curious, not everyone looked forward to change but it was refreshing to see someone else who did..

" The opportunity to learn a new station. New marines, new faces." Kit said. " Need to stay busy sometimes."

'Staying busy is good but I hope you are not avoiding anything in particular?" Iria said lightly not wanting to show concern where there was no proven need to do so just yet.

"Lost a bunch of friends. Some I had to kill." Kit said. " They were assimilated."

Iria nodded softly, "That is reason to keep busy but when you are ready you will need to talk and face their loss. To move on properly and grieve their loss and allow yourself to live."

" I agree." He said. Just then his comm chirped calling him to the bridge. " Until next time." he said, departing.
