Mission: General Sim Postings
Location: DS51
Timeline: After Tomcat Arrival

The Tomcat docked, and things were secured where the marine details were concerned. Mazal waited until the marines were all signed out and headed off the ship. She sent a message to Tosrol that she'd meet him later for dinner on the station. He had more things to deal with security wise than she had and Mazal didn't want to distract him. Grabbing her duffle, Mazal made her way to where she'd be disembarking from the Tomcat. Setting foot on the station, Mazal went to where she could get a good look at the ship, having that feeling of deja vu. How long ago was it when she first saw the Tomcat and met the three Amigos?

"It seems centuries since I first signed onto the USS Tomcat." Mazal remarked, aloud not really paying attention to who may be near by. She just had to make that remark.

"Never forget the first one do you?" Faith overheard her and gave a look over to Mazal a moment. Being that close to have heard. Bag still sitting next to her feet.

Mazal looked towards the woman who spoke, " Nope, its not really been long since I signed on with the USS Tomcat, but so much has happened, I feel like I've been there for quite sometime." she motioned to her duffel leaning against her leg. "We just arrived and have shore leave now. Its funny, the first time I came to the station the Tomcat was just going to shore leave after a rather... difficult mission. " that was all she was going to say about that previous mission. "However, I'm First Lieutenant Mazal Falk, XO of the Marines on the USS Tomcat. Well, you probably knew I was a marine due to my still being in uniform." giving a slight laugh and a grin, gesturing to her clothing.

She had noticed, and the rank. One ahead off her. "Just a little bit, ma'am." Faith's violet eyes looked up to Mazal's face. "I've been here a few times, the Tomcat hasn't been docked, so first time." Also in uniform, moving to offer her hand. No salute, since they were A: off duty and B: indoors.

Mazal shook Faith's hand "Nice to meet you, er... Lieutenant... What is your name?" Not that they wear name tags, at any rate. "I've got to get my gear stowed in my quarters here, then plan on going to have a drink. If you want to accompany me. Did you go through orientation? And did they tell you, you've got quarters on the station too?"

"Faith Benson," she looked human enough except for the eye color. Resting her hand back at her side, arm relaxed. "I just got out of it. I hadn't gone to them yet. Wouldn't mind a drink. You are, ma'am?"

"Since we are on shore leave, you can call me Mazal. Come on, lets go drop our gear off get changed and go have a drink." the marine first lieutenant said with a grin, picking up her duffel bag. "Nice to meet a new member of the Tomcat crew."

"Alright," leaning to pick hers up as well. "Considering out departments are so similar, then we've probably been put on the same deck. Lead the way."

When they reached where the quarters are, Mazal turned to Faith, "The great thing of being on a station, you don't have to share a room, you have quarters all to yourself. Makes it nice, and I do like it very much." she gestured towards her door, "That's me and, you're probably a door or two down from me."

She stopped when Mazal did. "More than likely. I shall return then!" Faith turned to head off down to find her quarters. Inside she just set the bags next to the bedroom door. Taking a shower and then fixing up her hair. Slipping into a simple black skirt with halter top.

Mazal set her duffel near the small sofa, then went to the closet to pick out something to wear. Placing it on a chair she went to get cleaned up, and dressed in a simple light blue dress which hit just below her knees, a pair of sandals and grabbed a purse. In it she had her combadge. Her dark hair was loose and flowing, with one part pulled back by a light blue silk flower on a comb.

She stepped out of her quarters to meet with Faith.

Stepping back out just about as quickly as she'd stepped in, Faith stretched both arms out straight in front of her. Clasping together and then stretched up over her head. Settling back down and turning to meet Mazal half way. "You look nice."

"So do you, come on, lets go to the Aurora Lounge it has good food and good drink. It serves both synthehol and the real stuff." Mazal flashing a smile. "We may have to send some men away, them being attracted by us, two beautiful women."

Mazal led the way to the turbo lift and then to the Aurora Lounge. "Booth or a table?" Mazal asked Faith.

"I don't guess I've ever been there for some reason." Faith gave a slight blush at the men comment. "Table, it's a little more open, easier to move."

"I prefer the table as well, thought I'd offer the booth." She looked around, "How about there, pointing to a table that had easy enough access to the exit. "We can sit there." moving in that direction.

As they headed to the table several men gave a wave, "Welcome back Miss Mazal." said one

Another commented, "Have you any other bad pick up lines that have been used on you lately?"

Mazal laughed outright. "No, not as of lately."

"What happened to that guy you were with last time? The one who had that classic pick up line?" asked another.

Mazal hesitated for a moment then she said. "He's around. Besides its girls' night out."

"Introduce us will you?"

Mazal looked over at Faith "It's up to her."

"That's perfect, and thank you for being thoughtful on the offer of a booth." She gave a look to where Mazal directed. It wasn't that hard to pick up on the fact that her guide for the night knew the men. Just giving them a nod, as well, as a thoughtful look. "Faith," deciding to be polite, as she usually was if she could help it.

"Faith, nice to meet you I'm Tobias, and this is Frank." gesturing towards the other man. Both of them having dark brown hair and rather tall.

"Say, Faith, do you want to go out and get a drink sometime? Would love to get to know you. Maybe invite your friend here?" giving a bit of a smirk towards Mazal, then gave a wink to her, before turning his attention back to Faith.

"I'm afraid not. We're not going to be n the station that long to get to know you." Faith gave him a wink, "Besides, I'm far to old for you."

Faith's comment caused a few eyebrows to raise including Mazal's.

"Wait, you're older than us?" the two men were confused."There is no way that is truth. You look no older than in your twenties. And the same for Mazal." both of them now having their attention focused on the two women.

"I don't know about her." Patting Tobias' shoulder for just a second, Faith smiled, "Just trust me."

Mazal laughed at their dumbfounded expression. "Now on that note, we're going to go to our table while you two may want to get a drink of something." making a shooing motion with her hand.

The two men could only shake their heads and wandered away. Tobias though turned back around. "Look it doesn't matter the age, you two are hot looking ladies and still would love to have a drink, when you get back to the station once more." then he was dragged off by his friend Frank, away from the ladies.

"Well that was fun." Mazal remarked to Faith, heading to the table and taking a seat. "Just how old are you? Like he said you do look like you are in your twenties. I for one, am thirty one."

Faith followed, sitting down as well. "And that last little bit is why I declined." Pursing her lips a little, "Two hundred and thirty six."

Another raised eyebrow from Mazal and an expression of surprise. "Wait, I had not a clue. Um, is it okay if I ask what race you are? I am not an all knowing person of the different races in the universe."

"I'm an El'Aurian. Not many of us left to be honest, and most stay in hiding."

"Well then, that would explain why I've not met any, well not that I would know. However, glad to meet my first El'Aurian" Mazal smiling. "What would you like to drink? Mine won't be any Synthehol, I am allergic to that, as well as chocolate." looking at the menu padd that was there.

Faith giggled a bit, "Yes, it would explain it." Leaning to look at the menu also. "Well that is a good bit of information to know, as for to drink. I'm not sure yet."

"Sorry I've gotten into the routine of letting people know what I can and can't drink or even indulge in." Mazal giving an apologetic smile. "I think though I will go for a sparkling lemonade. I'm in the mood for a fizzy non alcoholic drink."

"No need to apologize. It's good that coworkers know that." Tapping the menu, "I think I want a long island texas tea, alcoholic."

"How about something to eat as well?" Mazal asked of Faith. " I know I'm a bit hungry." her stomach gurgled in response. "Yup the boss says that I am." giving a light laugh. She ordered a burger with fries to go along with her drink. " The food is good here."

"I think I am going to get a Deanwich." She head to get the chef out there to explain how it's made, if it wasn't in the database. "Pile that thing on thick." Faith smiled.

Mazal heard what was in the Deanwich she said "okay that sounds great, I want one instead of the burger. If you don't mind." smiling sweetly towards the chef.

He nodded. "Okay and thanks for that recipe" looking at Faith.

"That sounded wonderful, and so tempting I couldn't resist." Mazal chuckled.

"Well keep in mind it's not mine, so there is an owner to it. So no claiming it for your own, mister." Giving a mock stern look, before turning back to Mazal.

The chef looked back towards Faith with a grin, "Don't worry, I won't claim it as my own. If you do have other recipe's I'm willing to exchange some with you." then he left the area to make the Deanwich.

"Looks like you've got a fan there, Faith." Mazal remarked, with another smile.

"So you'll be a part of the security team, that is great. We'll be working together on a professional level as well."

"I may have some more," Faith called after the man. Turning back to Mazal, "I like to focus more on tactical, but yes we will. I think we'll enjoy working together. Have you done much on the ship?"

"I was on an away mission which was really strange, went to an Earth like planet." giving a slight shiver at the memory. "And just mainly been keeping the troops all ready to go whenever we are needed. Plus getting to know the crew." Mazal stated.

She tilted her head a bit more directly to Mazal with her violet eyes. "How could that be strange? Most class-M planets can be compared to Earth, or Betazed, or...I can go on."

"They have a different culture, they have only a certain amount of time of when they can mate and give birth, then they are literally charged up to produce another baby. That is what I thought just a bit strange. I won't go into the details, it is in mission reports. Just was strange to me, even though it wasn't to them. A stranger in a strange land sort of thing. " Mazal replied.

"I suppose that's certainly one way to look at it. Nothing wrong with that." Faith gave a nod. Giving a look when their food was brought over.

"Oh my! Look at that sandwich!" Mazal's mouth already watering at the sight of it. "I am glad you told the chef about this." picking it up and taking a bite of it. Her eyes closed as she enjoyed the taste. "Ooh this is so good." Mazal slightly moaned. "I am worried though this is one sandwich I may become addicted to eating." her eyes open now looking at Faith.

Faith was enjoying watching Mazal's reactions to it. Though she usually got that from people. Sometimes they wanted variations but it still worked. "I'm glad you like it. It is addicting for sure."

Mazal nodded in agreement, her mouth full once more with another bite of the sandwich. She was trying to savor each bite of the sandwich, though her initial desire was just to inhale it as she was truly hungry. It took massive amount of willpower to make certain she enjoyed every single bite.

It may have not been good 'table' etiquette, but once she was finished, Faith licked the meat juices, and garlic butter from her fingers. After which then she actually used a napkin. "Ahhh. I think I'm ready for another."

Mazal wasn't even phased by Faith's eating habits, she was doing the same thing, when her sandwich was done. "Shame shame tempting me." she teased Faith. "But that does sound really good. One more, then I will be satisfyingly full." she grinned, then when a server came to stop by, Mazal said to the server, "would you get us another of these sandwiches?" she looked at Faith, "You did want another one right?"

"Indeed, I do. Thank you," nodding her head a couple of times. "If nothing else, the rest can be saved for later after all."

"Oh indeed it can be, but I don't think I will be taking any back to my quarters as there will not be any prisoners. I may end up in a food coma though." Mazal giving out a laugh. "It is so good I wouldn't want to not eat it all. Now, if I recall right you've been assigned to the USS Tomcat? I am guessing here as I don't right now remember if I asked. It was the exchange we had when looking at the Tomcat, that made me surmise that."

"I believe you did," Faith smiled. "I'm the new assistant Chief of Security/Tactical under Tosrol Ze."

Mazal gave a nod, "Sorry guess my mind is all over the place." giving a laugh. "Lieutenant Ze is a lovely man, we've just started dating." the marine's cheeks turning a light pink. "He is a wonderful man."

"Ah, well congratulations. I've yet to check in with him. That's some where on my list of things to do today." Faith noticed the blush but didn't bother to point it out. "You seem to be a good person so I'm sure the match is well deserved."

"I do hope it works out." Mazal went quiet as the server returned to the table with another round of sandwiches. "This looks really good." she looked at Faith, "So what do you like to do in your personal time? "

"It always does on the second one," Faith smiled. Taking a few bites while she gave it a thought. "Given my age, that's a lot. I love to cook and eat. Playing the Violin and singing. Mysteries, be it real or holo-novels. I like writing them. JAG, flying new and old craft. Like as in 20th century aircraft. Building things as well. Archery, marital arts."

Mazal gave a nod as she listened to what Faith mentioned. "For me I like to play Rugby, I mountain climb, indulge in various forms of dance. I love to read and mysteries sound rather great to participate and read. I do have other things I like to do but, they are mostly dealing with fighting and weapons." giving a light laugh.

Faith grinned a little more, "Well, it seems we have a good deal in common."

"That is good then." Mazal grinning in return then taking a nice bite of her sandwich, once more being whisked away at the taste of paradise that the sandwich was offering.

Before it was known, Faith yet again had hers finished. Now she was just picking around trying to decide on something else or not.

Mazal sat back, patting her full stomach, muffling a small belch. "That was even better for the second time." she looked at the menu that was seeming to entice her. " I don't know if I have the room for dessert, though that lemon pie is tempting me."

"So...no triple chocolate cheesecake then?" Faith smirked a little bit.

Mazal laughed, "Only if you have the quick setting of sending me to Medical." crinkling up her nose towards Faith.

"Now why would that be?" Faith asked curiously.

"I am allergic to chocolate, it gives me a problem, breaking out in hives, and well makes it to where I can't breathe." Mazal stated. I do not know why it is like that but it is."

Faith frowned a little bit, "Well that definitely sucks. It's the 24th century for cripes sake. They can't find something to give you? I mean it's an allergic reaction, not standing in the radiation of the sun."

"They can give me something but can't eradicate that allergy, as it is in the genetic code of my family. Some can eat chocolate until they reach a certain age then they are allergic to it. Others of my family have started out being allergic, then they grow out of it. Me, I have been allergic to it for a long time. One does not crave what could kill." giving a bit of a shrug. "I just don't find the scent of chocolate appealing."

"I'm sorry." She shook her head a little bit. "Well I'm sure we can find something else. Or maybe later I guess."

Mazal gave a bit of a wry apologetic smile. "I am sorry, I didn't want to stop you from eating your favorite dessert. But maybe, I can have dessert later on." she responded.

Faith gave a little thought a moment, "What about mozzie sticks for dessert then?" Said grinning.

That sounds great." Mazal giving a big smile. "After dessert I'll have to get going. I've got to get some paper work done. Even if I am on shoreleave, I still have work to do." giving a slight sigh.

"Cheese sticks it is? Marinara or Ranch dipping, or both?" Working on getting those for them. "Work work of course. Just say you had more pressing matters to attend to," Faith grinned.

Mazal laughed, "Perhaps long enough to eat these cheese sticks and definitely both on the sauce. Work can wait, until we are done. So get a nice sized basket of cheese sticks, and lets eat."

Faith nodded and just got a huge basket and both dipping sauces. If anything else, they could each take and split what was left. They both had more time enjoying the talking and the food. Parting ways to head back to their jobs, or whatever they were going to do at that point.
