[Time -40 Minutes Remain till Engineering Department Meeting —— ]

The sound of jogging running shoes hitting the granite slabs between grassy mounds and worn pathways marked the trails of many sojourners past. A cardio run complete with steep inclines and descents, careful not to tread on rocks. Leland made his way through his morning run. His breathing was a white cloud of haze as the morning dew clung to the grass, bushes, and maple trees high up. A canopy is so high that it could be mistaken for green clouds amongst shining golden early morning rays breaking through.

As Leland checked his wristwatch for his metrics, he breathed in and out, in and out, steadily relaxed, his thoughts to his own at that moment.

“10 Minutes remain till program completion.” The holodeck program announced as Hawksley rounded yet another cross-corner heading to the end.

His calve muscles, chest breathing, and body warming up, an early jolt of adrenaline. The forest was at ease, with the lone human making his way through the hidden berths of the Laurentide mountains.

Having gotten up early, not wanting to wake Lilli, Hawksley sneaked out of their quarters, only leaving a small note stating, “Good Morning, my Lovely Imzadi. See you tonight. Leland.”

In the shower, the warm heated mist powered over Hawksley’s body. His muscles and calves had kicked up a sizeable amount of dust and dirt, which washed away. The steam is a welcoming treat to having completed his morning routine…

Mess Hall
Time: 0640 Hours

Crunching into a red delicious apple, Leland chewed his morning breakfast, reading the latest Starfleet News Corps on his PADD. The same reports inter-sector incursions, successions, mediations, newfound worlds, new trade agreements, statements from federation dignitaries, commentaries from Federation agencies, entertainment of the Federation… Thumbing the PADD closed, he had his fill of the day for news.

Leland had his news to report.

Inputting general orders into his Department PADD, Leland ordered Engineering Department crew members and Officers to a morning meeting. Assignments would be handed out regarding the preparatory work of Entering the Hyderanasz System. This was no small task. A little more than a few days would they arrive in the system.

Engineering would be abuzz with Officers working away on their handed-out assignments to be named.
