S3 Episode 5: Diplomatic Incident/Hydaransz Again (Main)
Location: Main Bridge, USS Tomcat
Timeline: Current

Having finished exhaustively, all could be done aboard Starbase 39, Hawksley and the rest of the Away Team had beamed back aboard the Tomcat to report to the XO.
The Away Team had scanned remnants of the Ambassador’s quarters on the Starbase—checked records of the Starbases computer scans, both arrival and possibilities for ways to be captured.
A popular theory was developed from Hawksley's scans that highlighted residual amino peptide proteins, proteins from humans that are demolecularised, and beamed away in proximity to another transporter. This would support the theory that a small craft was near enough to the Starbase and then, in fact, beamed away the ambassador. A slight energy variant signature of engines also acted as a buffer between the station’s energy signature and an unknown craft.
"Where did the captors take the Ambassador?" Leland answered the question in the minds of both the Captain and Commander. He paused and shook his head. They were all standing around the aft sciences and engineering computers, where Leland had pulled up all the evidence of scans from the Starbase.
His giant finger pointed to the base and then to a directional break in the energy signature field. "This would account for engines taking off in the 45-degree directional plane. If we were to plot the course, it would take us into this area here."
"Well, the area is big enough to look in" replied Paul looking back at the rest of the team as they knew that the Ambassador was missing but Paul hoped that he was still alive. But they had to know exactly where to look.
-Bridge-
Dodd was sitting the captain's chair. His acting XO was to his right, while all the other bridge stations were being manned with some warm body even if they were not standard bridge crew. Dodd got word the away team was back from Starbase 39 and that Parker, Hawksley, Ze, and Winchester would all be reporting to him very soon.
As the group arrived on the bridge, Dodd stood up and welcomed the men. "Gentlemen, happy to see you, and let's go to the conference room to discuss your findings." Dodd then followed them all into the room.
"Aye Sir" replied Paul as he held the PADD with the relevant information upon it, he also knew that Commander Dodd was not going to like this news and the flight plan he had devised to find the Ambassador in the mentioned area. Paul thought to himself oO this is not going to go down well with the fleet, Oo as he handed in his report on the Station's Commander.
Ze fell into step next to the others "Nice to finally be back on the Tomcat, Commander Dodd" Ze was a little exhausted but knew after this mission things would be a little easier, Entering the ready room behind everyone.
Hawksley had sauntered into the meeting room and sat at the table. He pulled himself up. He was curious about what others had to say about the Ambassador’s stats. “Let’s hope we have enough information to pull together to be able to do something, and soon.” Hawksley furrowed and spoke lowly under his breath.
He looked at his PADD, which was currently still calculating variation points and recent star charts for the most plausible route of efficiency for the pirates to be able to make a beeline away from Starbase 39.
Turning to Dodd. “I believe the longer we wait, the longer we will lose the ambassador.” Hawksley then transferred to the main boardroom panel for all to see. The detected vessel, of size, of energy capabilities and engine systems… They would likely take the L’Horzel Corridor. It is a vectored offset spin rate anti-parallel to the planetary and star systems of the region. If the pirates took the Ambassador, I would be betting my latinum they took him through this corridor. There are a few class M planets at the end of the sector where they could set down and be picked up by another vessel.”
Leland couldn’t help it. He just talked off the top of his head, not waiting for the pleasantries, as time was of the essence.
Ze sat around the table, Listening to Hawksley speak "Well actually I'm inclined to agree with Lieutenant Hawksley" He said pulling his chair in closer "The corridor would provide the pirates with enough sufficient cover to stop their warp trails" he said pondering.
"I am all for pursuing the rogue agents and getting to the end of the mystery about the Ambassador," Dodd responded. "I am glad to have all of you back aboard the ship. I am really glad to have you all back in one piece. We will review all the data once more and then plot the necessary course and set pursuit."
Parker was in full agreement with his nods of affirmation to what was being discussed.
Ze moved to look at Dodd "Well it's good to be back Let's get out there and kick some pirate ass" he said with a slight upturn of his eyebrow "The Starfleet way of course" he said winking "Where do you need me commander?" he asked as he looked around.
"Well, if it were me," replied Paul as he looked back at his shipmates, continued " I'd send probes out along the corridor and the surrounding area," as he knew that with a big area, they needed to cut it down.
Ze looked to Dodd "Can I speak Freely commander?" he asked turning round to face everyone "Well we have a group of fighters would it not be more prudent to send a fighter out track the trail in real-time and report directly back to us on the bridge and then we can lay in course straight away and drop right on top of them?" it was a crazy, daring and wholly stupid idea but it might just work given the right push.
"Lieutenant, I like that idea and I approve it. Make it happen." Dodd replied. "You seem to be really stepping into the role of XO already. I think I made the right choice."
Parker was just sitting to the side and seemed to be observing but also in agreement with the idea.
Ze looked to Winchester "Lt Winchester for this I am going to need you to fly with one other person; its a stealth mission, so get in quiet, plug the coordinates and book it out of there. Do not engage unless myself or Commander Dodd give you a green light to go; Is that understood?" Ze spoke matter-of-factly but with a calm and friendly tone to his voice.
After He addressed Winchester he looked to Hawksley next "Lieutenant Hawksley I remember reading on one of the files that Mr Hewitt your fellow engineer once worked on a stealth ship Using Stealth Paint and Sensor Jammers. Do you Reckon we could replicate that exact model for a fighter?" he spoke with a twinkle to his eye as the idea peaked mind.
“I can do that. Hewitt has all the information in the Tomcat’s Engineering database.” He paused, and thought a moment. “I can start on the Fighter painting schematics right away.”
Ze smiled at his friend "Make It So Liutennant Hawksley as soon as you have an update let me know" he said clasping his friend on the back "If there's a man for the Job Liutennant Hawksley its you" he said with a slight wink of his eye.
"1st Liutennant James O'Donnaghue To Captains Ready Room </\>"
James had been working out in the barracks when his Comm badge Chirped, hearing Liutennant Ze's Voice over the comm
</\>"On my way, Sir"</\> James Threw on his flight suit and booked it to the ready room, Clearly out of breath he pressed the door chime awaiting an answer.
"Come." Dodd stated as the chime sounded and he did sense who was there. "Welcome, O'Donnaghue, glad you could join us."
James entered through the blast door "Commander Dodd, Lieutenant Hawksley, Lieutenant Ze" He said tipping his head to those in charge "How may I be of service Sirs?" he said standing at attention.
"Lieutenant Ze felt you would be the best selection as wingman for Lieutenant Winchester on this mission." Dodd stated. "You and Winchester will go scout out the location of the fugitives and bring back to us their coordinates so we can arrive and capture them to get the Ambassador back. You will be getting you guidance from Winchester as he will be calling the shots in route, but neither of you are to engage the fugitives. More or less this is a a recon mission."
James smiled "Understood commander," He said with a wide smile "Get in get out secure coordinates jump back out easy peasy" He said winking "We have stealth fighters fir the mission I assume?"
Paul looked back at Commander Dodd, He said " If I may be excused Sir, so I can change into my flight suit?" as he also knew that he had to do a flight briefing for the team that was going with them both he also knew that this was the first one he had done in alone while science his accident that took his arm.
"Winchester, I trust you will be cautious and abide by the rules," Dodd replied to Winchester. "You are authorized to go get prepared for the mission but we have to allow the fighters to be prepared for the stealth operation."
As Paul was about to leave, he said "I do know how to run the Fighters Commander, " Looking back at Dodd, continuing " as I used to be the CAG here before this happened," as he raised his left arm that was his prosthesis. as he remembered the time when he was giving the flight commands and not his soon to be wife.
"Lieutenant, I am just emphasizing you need to play it very safe and come back unscathed." Dodd stated, "and please don't go out of your way to do anything heroic. I just want you to come back to us with your fighter, O'Donnaghue and his fighter all in one piece. I don't want to loose anyone on my watch."
“Kick the tires and light the fires!” Hawksley stated. He had the PADD and pulled up the appropriate files. He was going to get down to the fighter’s engineering bay.
Ze looked to everyone "Everyone has their assignments lets get back out there and make a start"
"Gentlemen, Let's give our all to this mission and hopefully we can save the day and find the Ambassador. God Speed!" Dodd stated and stood up from his seat.
Ze smiled "You heard the man Gentleman, 'God Speed. Dismissed'," He said standing from his chair and making his way back out onto the bridge lingering by the door for Commander Dodd to follow.
Everyone then exited the room and all returned to their station or to go and prepare for the mission ahead.
