Mission:
General Sim Postings
Location: Star base 51 - various
Timeline: Back post-
Cassandra fixed her uniform as she walked. Her hair was done neatly. Her uniform pristine. Her blue eyes searched for a particular familiar in the corridor. She sighed inwardly in relief when she saw it. The dark hair and deep friendly eyes of her good friend, the Tomcats chief engineer Leland Hawksley. He looked tired. Then again that wasn't surprising considering the Tomcats shake down and everything else going on. She was just simply glad to have his help in this. If anyone could help her lure Mazal Falk to Odens bar it would be him.
"Hey old friend. Thank you again for helping me out. I know with your help we can get this done without a hitch." Cassandra motioned for him to follow her towards Falks office. "She isn't big on surprises I'm told."
Leland strolled down the corridor of the Starbase. He had just finished a shift in the Tomcat's new operations center, overseeing the total refit. He was tired but never tired of meeting up with his perfect friend, Cassandra. She was always friendly and fun to talk to, and he cherished their friendship.
“There you are! I was about to think you transferred to another vessel.” Leland replied. “Well. The Themistocles.”
Leland listened to Cassandra. He understood her plan, and he supported giving a well-earned Salute to the Tomcat’s new 2XO. He was ecstatic for Falk. She truly was the face that Leland could see when he envisioned a well-rounded officer, a champion for the crew.
Hawksley couldn’t help it, whether he was tired or not. He burst into a bit of laughter. He shook his head with a big grin, and his cheeks tightened. “You are correct. Falk does not care for the… how do you say… social surprises.” Leland walked with Cassandra, indulging the conversation. “Not to say she isn’t social. She is very social. Just. Falk is… She likes no surprises. I can’t blame her. This will be amazing!” Hawksley rubbed his large hands together mischievously.
"It will indeed." Cassandra agreed. It had taken alot of hard work to pull everything together.
“So, Cass. What are your thoughts? I don’t just knock on her office door and ask her to join me for a drink?” Leland asked.
"Well... We need to get her in her dress uniform. So I'm thinking. You tell her that you need her help in testing out the latest stealth micro phone or something. Say it's going to be used on some admiral and we need her to put on her dress uniform on so you can check it for interference and get read outs on feedback and all that other technical mumbojumbo used by you engineering magicians to confuse us all."
Cassandra handed him the tiny box with the mic in it that had been tucked into her jacket. Then she continued "Tell her it's very hush hush that's why you didn't want to take it to just anyone." Cassandra explained, "after she's all dressed up you message me discreetly and I will come in and tell her that she is needed down in Odin's bar urgently that the Lt. Colonel is waiting for her their and she needs to come now. That way she won't take the time to stop and change first. What do you think?" Cassandra asked.
It was rather elaborate. Still it would get Falk in her dress uniform and get a mic on her. Total win. If anyone could pull it off it was Leland with that innocent face of his. Even with his eyes sparkling with mischief he still gave one the impression of absolute safety. "It's that or we knock her out caveman style, I dress her up and we drag her there... That might actually get us shot though. Best to save it as a last resort." Cassandra added. "Any questions?"
“I’m feeling good about it. I don’t like casually stretching the truth as much.” He raised a brow to his left side, thinking it over. “But what choice do we have then.” Leland gave Cassandra a slight wink.
“Alright.” He received the small box from Cass and held it, he looked at it opening it to see the “stealth mic” inside. “This…” He frowned. “I would not make something of this shoddy quality. What is this, made from a Ferengi Lathe?” Hawksley groaned.
“It’s fine. I’m just being brutal on the… “I made this thing.” He began to walk down the corridor to Falk's quarters, remembering where she was living on the Tomcat. Many times since she had started going serious with Tosrol, Leland had visited to see them both and his Wingman.
Tosrol was an awesome guy and was very lucky to have Falk at his side. He was happy for the couple. If they had kids soon, the Hawksleys could hang out with the Ze’s.
- Mazal’s Quarters -
Chiming the doorway, Leland’s mind went blank. He… He thought he could do this in a sinch. His brain went completely carte blanche.
“I… Oh…. Geez.” He flatly spoke, feeling a forming bead of sweat on his forehead. He looked down the left hallway to see Cassandra peeking. He breathed inward and closed his eyes as he heard movement from within.
“Oh my god…” He spoke. “I don’t think-” Leland stopped as the door swished open, revealing Mazal.
Mazal was getting ready for her dance class, her hair pulled back in a soft bun, make up on enhancing her eyes and her natural beauty. Her red dress reached to her knees form fitting waist up, the lower half flaring out as she moved. Around her neck she had a simple gold necklace. Her shoes were red with gold trimmed straps which wrapped around her ankle.
"Oh hello Leland, I was just heading out to my dance class." Mazal's eyes lighting up seeing her close friend. "What brings you here?"
Cassandra watched from her place down the hall feeling awful for putting Leland up to this. The look of absolute agony on his face nearly broke her. She decided to spare him. She couldn't make him be a part of her deception. She just couldn't. Not knowing just how deeply it bothered him. So Cassandra took action. She moved swiftly towards them. Licking her lips she said urgently. "Captain, Captain Falk. I'm glad I caught you. I need you to please come with me no questions, please." Thankfully Mazal was dressed beautifully. This could work. "Leland I need you too. Thank God your both here. Please come." With that she turned before any questions could be asked and headed for the lift.
Finding this rather curious, Mazal followed after Cassandra linking her arm with Leland. "What is going on?" stepping into the turbolift with the two of them.
"The colonel is waiting for us. It will be explained as soon as we get there." Cassandra stated. It wasn't a lie thankfully. Hawthorne had mentioned that the Colonel had indeed arrived with Captain Somors as well. Soon the doors opened and Cassandra motioned for them both to follow. As she led them to the entry of Odin's bar. She waited for them to reach her. Then as Mazal approached Cassandra threw open the doors.
