"Computer Start Captain's Log"
"Captain's Log Stardate 239602.11, today I found out that my Chief Medical Officer, or rather former requested a transfer off of the Tomcat, what gurt the most was she went behind my back and never approached me first, so, as a result, I placed a black mark on her Service file for mild insubordination and breaking the chain of command, I have since removed her from all Rosters for the Sector but I have arranged for a fast ship to take her back to earth it seems she took her loss of Second Officer badly and knowing the chances of promotion to full Commander were going to be hard to do she decided to quit" pause.
"The Senior Medical Officer who dealt with this notified me about it, as this log will be dissected by Starfleet Command, I am officially placing a reprimand on the Service File of Lieutenant Commander Alexandria Cahill with the note of not ready for Command as she is unable to adapt and accept subordinates input. The only good thing she did was come back alive after her crazy stunt of going toe to toe with a Pirate Carrierm The Nebula is a tough ship but she ain't that tough. Still, it was impressive but the reports I got back about her performance are one of the reasons for my saying she is not ready for a Starship Command, at one time she had promised, but since then she has become lax in how she presents herself, I am now regretting promoting her, with the new rules about the promotion I have made she would never have made Lieutenant Commander under the new rules, her key problem is she wants the power too badly and she is making costly mistakes " another pause.
Jasmine walked over to the replicator got herself a mug of tea and returned to the settee in her quarters on the Starbase.
"Also, Commander Cahill has the ability, but she needs someone to do a one-on-one training with her, she does fine in the theories, but falls short in practical application. I do not doubt the reprimand she will make an able Captain one day, it is possible as Worf made Captain after getting a more serious reprimand" Pause.
"With her Departure that leaves me with an opening, so I have to look through the files and see which officer is best qualified, but I will have to pick one that will run a department not sit in one doing little or nothing, so Cahill has her wish she returns to earth on the next ship to dock, it has all been arranged" she paused as she thought things through as she took a sip of her tea.
"Computer end log, apply security to record and send it with the next batch of reports for Headquarters," Jasmine said.
The computer bleeped acknowledgement, and with that done Jasmine, went to her computer and looked through Tomcat Crew files.
